b18b throttle body on a z6. Plug hole next to iacv???
my buddy stopped by the other night and thought he had an idea why my car wasnt running too well (low vac, sluggish rev, slight miss) He has a ls throttle body on his z6 as well and said he tried everything to get it to idle correctly. Tried changing the iacv, tb gasket, check for vac leaks, etc. So he shoved a big rubber plug in the hole below the iacv, i think it goes to the fast idle valve or whatever the ---- its called. So instead of being too ghetto, i kept it real and jb welded the bitch.
im using the baller *** venom mailbox intake manifold that has no provision for an iacv and the fiv hits the t-stat housing. So i did away with both. the opening on the mani is 75mm i believe, the hole in the gasket is obviously only 60, so it falls a bit short. I dont know what im really trying to ask but has anyone ever heard of having to plug this hole? Any insight on the situation in general would be nice.
