there is the turbo kit you buy, ------ 3g's. i know it could be fabricated for much much less, i have a 180amp mig welder and am pretty decent with it, my question to you guys is, how hard to dyou think it would be to replicate that kit? i plan on going front mount instead of non ic'd. From the looks of it, the turbo setup doesnt look that difficult to make, ive made 3 honds ones ( using a premade manifold) but it really doesnt look that hard to fab up one like that and the engine bay isnt cramped, so yay or nay?

 

Copying that would be very easy. I bet if you could find a decent used turbo you could build tyhe whole thing for $1000 or less.

Is it me or the wastegate is placed after the turbo? (see picture "fully assembled" on their website).

I don't get it... Back pressure control to limit boost...?

lol, the wastegate is on the bottem of the rear manifold were the exhaust used to connect then it dumps into the down pipe. you would think you would get mad creep doing that because its only really dumping 3 cylinders.

 

isnt there a supercharged grand prix? so couldnt you twin charge that bitch? are the S/C prix's and the non S/C motors the same?

Also Scott, that little kit posted looks super super simple to replicate with the most basic of fab tools/skills.

 

yeah, mine is supercharged, i could tt it, but the pipng would be a pain in the ***, but ---- a supercharger, a turbo is the way to go.

looks simple. I wouldn't say easy, not difficult. That thing could be made for pennies. I agree that F-mount will be a bitch. Take a pic of your engine bay so we have something to relate to. water-air IC would be gangsta for that. Oh and keep the SC too
