Dan (TurtlePowerCivic) gets a turbo kit...*lots o' pics not56k safe*
It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood...a beautiful day for a turbo.
Firstly, I'm giving a big shout and thank you to 89sipimpin for basically dropping his big knowledge and skill into my little sohc. I also must thank the incredible Justin for wiring my Safc II, Tony for helping mock up the pipes, Mel for snapping some great pics, and Juice! for coming through with the twinkies. Last but certainly not least I gotta thank Miracle Marty for all the random miracles he pulled off during the install and Marty's dad for the custom baller "Turtle Power" charge pipe, I love that thing!
Ok, now, the moment you've been waiting for...Pictures!
This is stock minus a heat sheild

That AC has got to be brutally murdered

The AC won't go without a fight

Got It!

Where's my bumper?

There it is!

More space to work in

Gettin my turbo on

Nonvtec sent me his buggy intercooler :P

A "clean sweep"

Now the intercooler is clean enough to make love to...doggystyle!

Trying to figure out how the ---- we're gonna run those pipes

At around 2am we realized that the best way to go would be to run a straight pipe from the throttle to the dsm bov connector. Pep boys isn't open at 2am so we had to throw all the stock ---- back on so I could go home and come back the next day to finish.

Day2
Tapping the oil pan

Prepping for the JB weld

Preheating the oven for the oil pan

Using tinfoil on a baking sheet because we all know, a clean oven is a happy oven.

Remember kids...use those mother ------' oven mits!

Let bake until golden brown

Whats this?

Oh, wiring the 10watt10ohm resistors

Wiring the SafcII inside the car

The "Miracle Marty" welds

Brandon is under the car welding, notice the intense light coming out of the engine bay

Apparantly Justing is usually lazy, but not tonight as he runs the boost gauge hose

Forget mugen, forget spoon, and forget garrett....we got TWINKIE POWER BABY!!!

Twinkie baller shot!

There you have it.

The custom designed "Turtle Power" logo, complements of Marty's dad

It didn't run right away because the o2 sensors weren't plugged in and the car was throwing a CEL, so it was limp mode until the next day when we plugged them in. She's running at 3psi right now because I still need help tuning the Safc to 8psi, the problem is when I hit the gas running 8psi at around 4k rpms the needle jumps to 6k then will go up to 8k if I keep on the gas so we had to unplug the boost controller to get it to run normal, anyone in the chicago area willing to help me tune my safc? or if you might have a solution please post it up!

Yep, it's the whole body kit, you can see the side skirt in the bigger pic with the three cars. Its a Kaminari kit, ---- was expensive when I got it four years ago.
Turtle Power means alotta things. First Turtle is my nickname. Second "Turtle Power" is kind of a catch phrase derived from the ninja turtles cartoon. Third Turtle Power is the way I describe the power my car puts out, sinisterCRX called that one, Auto 4 door what!?!? and Fourth, when I'm making love to a fine fine pretty lady I do it like a turtle, slow and steady.
