can i put y8 pistons and rods in a z6 with the z6 crank

Have checked the bore and stroke of each motor and compared to determine any clearance issues?

yes it is possable.
it'll raise your compression up to around 9.85:1

not unless you consider having higher compression "messing things up"

Would definately check valve clearance and such before running the engine for a long while. And a tune would probably be beneficial.

it will bump your compresion from 9.2 to 9.4, no changes needed.

I dropped in used Y8's when I melted #3 on the Z6's, still got them

so i won't hve to chang anthing even with a y8 head on it?
