Default welding aluminum?

sorry, im a newbie at this..
would mig weld aluminum?

You need to run purge argon and aluminum wire, but yet it will. Just remember, aluminum likes to get jammed up quite often when mig welding without a spool gun.

unless you have a spool gun good luck, i tried and it sucked. aluminum is just too soft to be pushed.

i ahve a flux/mig welder..
i just need to get mig setup, i have tanks and everything for the gas(es?)

fluxcored uses spoolgun, correct?
and tig uses a torch.. and a stick?

this is a spool gun



if you do not have this, then IMHO you will be wasting your time. i tried it for myself just to see and it jammed 4 times in 20 min before i gave up

then whats a good alternative to welding the aluminum?
just get SS or mildsteel?
so heavy though..

what are you gunna be making ic piping, if so get some mild from racing solutions and paint it black.
