Ok, so the son that I'm about to have is going to be named Drew. The problem is, my wife and her stupid housewives forum think that it should be spelled "Drew", and I'm trying to change it up and take a page out of the bambooseven handbook and spell it "Dru".

With the last name of Smith, we'z a bunch of generic *** ------s. That's why I'm trying to change it up when I get a chance. My mom named my Steve Smith, and she's an admitted coke user from the 70's.

 

all I got to say is think about his future and don't name him anything like Antwan, or Jameer, or Jonifua, because that will hurt his future..... ......Drew sounds more suburban than Dru.......Dru might be cooler, but if you have never seen this kid and see his name is Dru Smith, you might be prejudged to what he might be how he might act, etc, etc, etc....not being a racist here just being real......my name is F'ing David.....no problems there....even if there's 100 million of us, it is normal....

 

Steve Smith is also a football player. How about Droo?

 

and a basketball player...well it's a different Steve Smith, but I'm sure there's a hell of a lot more Steve Smiths than most other names...well maybe John Smith

 

Just don't name him Lance.

name him Lyle. that name is upper white class as hell, its a sure fire name for success if you ask me. my friends namin his kid Titus, i told him nice name, i cant wait to see how his kid turns out.

that's funny. But it is reality. I feel bad aboud some kids, white, black, hispanics, who cares....I have seen names like Tekila, Myracle, Jesus(I mean come on, who names their kid Jesus, I actually know of a guy, from venezuela, his name is Jesus, but he doesn't want people to call him in spanish Jesus, he wants it in english and will get pissed off if you call him in spanish), Taquisha, etc, etc.

I can understand heritage and culture, but guess what people, you ain't giving your kids a chance with names like that. Of course not all of them, but most of them will be marked forever.
