for your harness u will need to run a wire for VTEC, and for the knock sensor (i believe)
and ya, the D16z6 came out of the 92-95 si, Ex and some del sol modles.

Well D16z6's are OBD1 motors, the harnesses are a bit differnt, so its not like you can plug a OBD1 computer on your OBD0 harness. But the actual engine harness will work from the d16a6 onto the d16z6. I would put a vtec controller (apexi/fields) to activate the vtec solinoid, and use the controller to also riching your fuel curve.

Put the motor in, and just drive it without vtec, until you can get a cheap controller... You can wire in one of those RPM activated switch, and wire it directly to your vtec solinoid. It will work. But you can run a bit lean when vtec hits.

So if you are really low budget, and need to get a bit more fuel, you can take the old coolant temp sensor off the back of your block and plug it in, and just let the ****** hang in your engine compartment, it will think the engine is always cold, and go full rich.

Btw, you will need a new plug for your coolant temp sensor reguardless for the Z6, since it is mounted on the T-stat housing opposed to the back of the block.
