Default Alright, New here and New to turboing

First off, I have an 89 crx si I just swapped a dohc zc motor into. Now im looking into turboing it. This is going to be my first turbo project, so im a complete noob. I saw this site and thought it was the perfect place to start. This car is a daily driver, so i dont want anything rediculous and unreliable. I just want to be able to break into the 13s, which shouldnt be too difficult. I just wanted to know where the best place to start would be picking up parts from the junkyard and such. What turbo would be best for my application and such. Like what kind should I be looking for? Once again, I really know nothing when it comes to forced induction, so flame away if you wish. Im just looking for a little help here.

What about injectors aswell?

Read the FAQ's in Forced Induction, it'll tell you everything you'd ever want to know... note the sticky by projekteg about choosing a turbo, and look at the projects to see what people have run on their DOHC ZC's as well.

And as far as injectors go, some cheap 450cc DSM's are always a good bargain.

And welcome to the site btw

Thanks a lot. This is kind of my introduction aswell. Sorry for not looking around thoroughly before posting. Is it worth it to me to get the injectors before i turbo it, or will that not make a difference yet?

First step is selecting a turbo.
Good size thatl produce 300hp , t3/t4 turbo , maybe even a big t3.
Just don't buy a td04 or t25 ..nah waste of time.
Then get some 450's dsm injectors , get your ecu chipped and tune the basemap if need be.
Good luck with the zc engine , they're fun engines to boost
