Default Window coming off track

the driver side pops off track when it is more than halfway down. i've played around with it for a while now and can't find any where that has a new manual regulator. it definately has some play in it. i don't really want to make a project out of it by going to power. any suggestions/help?

take off the door panel and tighten the bolts (a 10mm, which you will probably need an extension also) that hold the window in the track. some lock-tyte or JB weld might be necessary if youve already done this.
if you use JB weld though...once its in there, its in there. (locktite worked for me when I had this problem)

if you have a 96-00 civic you'll probably have to replace the rubber track. There's a TSB about it and how they turn to ---- and bunch up. I had to replace mine because it was so deformed and it was falling off 3 times a day. ****** cost me like 90 bucks

the 10mm bolts stay tight and the rubber track looks ok too. i think it's the regulator since there is some definate play between cranking up and down on the drivers side door (comes off) and not on the passenger door (doesn't come off).

so i don't think that the lock tyte or jb weld will do anything except make it impossible for me to put it back on track when it comes off again.

check the tab on the window that holds it to the regulator, see if its still there or if its ripped off. Happened in my 99 si. ended up braking a window because of it.

both tabs are still intact. they don't look out of place and aren't broken.

Eh not trying to thread jack but didn't want to start another topic about the same thing.

I have a 96-00 civic and the passenger side thing goes slow about halfway when I'm rolling it down and it's worse when it rolls up, kinda gets slightly angled when rolling up too, and when i look in the door while rolling it up it looks like that metal lever crap is bent/retarded/loose. Should I replace the regulator?
