no wastegate spring=no boost right???

Default no wastegate spring=no boost right???

just makin sure guys..... finish turbo set up, but not going to the tune shop for a bout a week. i took the wastegate spring out will this prevent my car from building boost? and is my car ok to run daily??

im not sure about this but the wastegate will stay closed becuase of vacum and the open when it hits a slight amount of boost, but if it hits boost its toast.

im not sure tho

no spring means open all the time. w/out the spring it has nothing to hold it closed.

Uh... where might this vacuum be coming from to hold the wastegate closed?

i was thinking of the wastegate that still had the reference line hooked up, nvm

you have vacume at idle, so unless your turbo is small enough to boost at idle and effecint enough that it spins so freely that it would be easier to turn the turbine then push the wastegate open from exhaust pressure I think you will be OK
