I have a jdm sohc v-tec d16a motor and i was just wondering whats the specs on it and is it possibleto put a d16y8 head on it.

 

All D series sohcs are interchangeable, so yes. Sounds like a D16z6 to me but just a D16a in JDMland I guess. Power is probably close to the z6 I would expect. If it already has a vtec head why would you put a y8 head on? For 2 hp?

stroker kit = 1000ish
b18 = 800ish

 

well some people. like myself. love smoking b series with the single slams. But stroking a d16 probably isnt the best idea.

 

whats the best idea to u. I have alot of money to blow into this D-Series engine. what do u suppose i do to it.

 

well thats easy. eagle rods. get the block notched for them, vitara pistons or others. get a block guard, sleeves, or posts, u choose. go for a nice turbo kit. at least a super 60 turbo, uberdata, boost around 18 pounds and tune for days. alot of peeps have done this on their cars and they drive them everyday for well over a year, with slicks and phatnom grip they ve ran 12.44
