Easy to work on . Reliability. Most of all aftermarket support and sites like this and H-T. Unless you drive a Mustang you won't see another community with as much knowledge. I've owned 2 eg's since 97 and I've only taken 1 to Honda once to fix something. I've owned Mazda, Isuzu, Nissan and Volkswagen cars and I will stick by Hondas any time in an arguement about reliability, mpg and bang for the buck any day.

My first car was a 90 Mazda 626, man I thought that car was fast as ---- at the time. I tried to sell it at 120,000 mi. thinking it was done for and no one wanted it. I'd buy a 160k ++ honda anytime though
