Will LS rods work on an ITR crank in an ITR block? If so, what bearings do I need to use?

 

maybe? might raise the compression a wee bit.. doesn't LS have longer stroke to make it bigger than the GSR/ITR?

 

I dunno really...Im asking b/c I have a bare ITR block with the crank and Im about to start building it and I found a deal on some new CTR pistons on LS rods with new rings as well. The compression calculator shows an 11.46:1 c/r with that block, crank, LS rods, CTR pistons, and a b16 head. Just making sure the rods work on the crank with the block...

 

the rods are narrower than the ITR/GSR rods... they are also shorter by a MM or so... not to mention they are weaker...

NO IT WONT WORK.. man people are retarded. the rods are WIDER then GSR/TYPE R they will not fit on an ITR crank.

 

I'd run a ls crank/rods in that block
