D16y7 Shift points

with a d16y7 and y8 tranny what should i be shifting at in each gear to get better power, cuz i heard u lose power going all the way to redline.

Well it depends, if your granny shiftin' and not double-clutchin' like you should be.

6758.34534534534534 is when i shifted, that is when i wasnt trying to reline just because. but that depends on what u have done to it, and where you max power is.

put it on a dyno and see when peak HP is shift then. redline isnt a performance indicator, its a safety limiter.

id be more concerned w/ where the RPM's drop to AFTER the upshift.

if u shift @ peak HP you might fall below the power band or out of vtec (if so equipped).

just take it to 6500-6800 and change gears
