strange problem with the 95 coupe with z6, car sounds wierd at idle, its wierd if you pull out plug wire#1 the motor sounds the same .. if you pull and of the others out the car will sound totally different and almost die ... its almost like the car has a "limp leg" (cylinder one) the compression checked out great all the way across the board ..the spark is good too all four and all the injectors all checked good 13.4 ish pretty steadily across, what could it possibly be ? cam timing? or the tunner did say it was really hard to keep the car started when it was first on the dyno with crome hooked up, he said he could only tune the injectors down so much .. is it possible he just took alot of timing out of cylinder one so it would not flood at idle any idea will help

 

I would think bad plug, bad injector or something like that. Most anything outside of the plug, wire, cylinder would affect more than one cylinder.

Forgot the rod bolts...oh noez.

 

lol its not a metal grindinng noise its just a wierd lil miss in the idle ..plug is firing and injector has the right voltage 13.4 on a presicion 550's high independance (or dependance im not a injector genius) with a walbro 255 high flow pump

change your plug wires. I was chasing an ignition miss for awhile and coulnt figure out what it was. I had just bought plug wires 4 months before that.

Wait untill its dark outside and spray the plug wires with a bottle of water. If you see a free light show, its time for a new set.

 

check the cap and rotor

 

we've changed plugs, plug wires and plugs ... ended up being that the timing belt was too loose.. its still at tdc but having a loose belt was making it miss at idle and high rpms
