ok here is the deal. my car runs. but at around 2-3grand it feels all slow, then the power will jump up (like VTEC) to where it should be. someone was telling me that this may be caused by the pickups or something inside, true?

 

check your dist timing.....doesnt sound like your dist is bad.What about plugs and wires?

 

new'ish cap and rotor (month or two), a set of Bosch +4's (i didnt buy them, have some new NGK's around here somewhere). i have no idea on the wires...

 

sounds like it might be the dizzy to me.. ecu codes?

 

its not the actual dizzy. The dizzy is electrical, ,on/off, not maybe on maybe off. It either works or doesnt. Its something that is variable, maybe a TPS, fuel pressure. If you are unsure of the plugs they can't hurt to get new ones whether they fix it or not. It could be timing too.

 

no CEL. pulled the +4's they where covered in carbon?? all off them the same amount. put the NGK's in, and reloaded a PM6 map on the computer. havent gone out for a drive yet though...

that was my first thought, but im starting to think that i may be running really rich? that could cause this problem too right...
