ok, first of all ill get a pic as soon as i can, prob later tonight, but do you think you could make a head pipe for my yz450f? the stock ones and even aftermarket ones r junk, way way too thin plus look like ---- and cost way way too much, its bascially just a u bend coming from the head and about a foot or so back, id prob have to send u a stock pipe right? to compared and make your design from? im sure u guys could do this, u make anything else plus im willing to pay for everything, let me know. heres a couple pics not the best but u get the idea.

I like the fact you think I know what I'm doing! Your best bet is to see if Aaron or James has any time to do that. The guys that work with 16ga are your best bet.

If you could send over the stock pipe, We can definately do it for you. what material do you want it? Also how tight are the tolerances as to where the bend goes? Do you flanges welded on etc?

how long do you think it take? the stock material is titanium, stainless steel ones look like ---- cause its so hot right there it basically burns the dirt and water to the pipe, the pipe will glow it gets so hot, what material do you think will look good? lol maybe some nice tig welds like a manifold also the exhaust just slides into the muffler, so everything would have to be exact, you can see in the 3rd pic on the left where the head pipe is going into the muffler.

 

i think your best bet would be to send it to engloid. he is one of the best fabricator's i've ever seen.

material: titanium would probably be best but the cost would be exponential. stainless would probably be my choice aside from ti.

you need to specify what size pipe you want to run. you should do some research on the burns stainless site on exhaust theory before you decide what to do.

 

i just dont like the brown look the stainless pipes ive seen have after the heats got to them, maybe if its thicker it wouldnt discolor?

 

it will always discolor, You can paint it or have it jet coated, then it will be whatever color you want.
