Compression test on my $50 B18a1
well i went to autozone to borrow their tester (mine got lent to a friend, and u know how that went) and went to do a compression test in the parking lot on my new motor that i paid $50 for. well, long story short, i broke the damned tester right there, and i did get one cyl done before i broke it, and it read 208 psi!! im thinking holy crap, ive never seen an LS with compression numbers like that.
so i go to my buddy's house and borrow his tester, sure enough, motor is a freak. 208, 209, 210, 209. anyone else have that high on an LS? this was done with like 6 cranks and the throttle wide open.

$35 but u get the money back when u give the tester back. the hose came off the fitting that screwed into the head. the fitting ended up getting stuck in my head. thankfully i got it out though.
no, they were warm compression. the motor had only been sitting turned off for about 5 mins when i tested it. i laughed my *** of when i saw the numbers, i had to testit twice to make sure they were right. 200+ on an LS, i guess i got a freak!

very possible, but i doubt it. ive been boosting on this motor now for about 500 miles and usually boost will blow carbon buildup off pistons, but i dunno. my afrs are between 11.8 (redline) and 12.4 (initial spool up) and the car runs great
