Well i know this sounds weird but up until a few nights ago my turbo made the normal whistling sound when it started boosting. After my wastegate line came apart and my turbo boosted 15psi it no longer makes this noise i fixed the line and the turbo boosts fine with no screeching noises but it doesn't sound the same anymore. any ideas, oh and its a t25 i know its small, i've got a t3 48. 60. waiting to be installed so i'm not too concerned i just thought it was odd.

 

maybe you fucked your engine and it doesn't spool the turbo as well anymore

 

nah it boosts just fine no oil burning nothing it just doesnt whistle anymore

 

does that have the adjustable nut on the wastegate? if it does you might have set it lower or somthin. im wingin it here weird prob, hope you figure it out.

 

no its not adjustable i did however raise the boost yesterday with no affect on the whistling of the turbo. i thought that maybe the blades of the turbo had become dirty or something maybe changing the pitch but i cleaned them yesterday with no luck i'm stumped here

 

did you do anything with the air filter setup since the last time it made this sound?

 

Why not get someone to step on the gas and you listen to where the noise is coming from?

 

i think thats the problem. there is no noise, the turbo lost its spooling noise. i almost thinking that it might be an air issue

 

if it boosts the same its fine
you might have actually fixed it :P

 

no cause i have a t25 and it screams when spoolin.i have mine on 13 psi and the sounds is sweet
