i am currently rebuilding a 1987 nissan hardbody with the z24 2.4L 8v engine in it and for my senior prodject at school i want to rebuild and turbo charge it and i was wondering if you guys could help me out. p.s. it has the engine before the ka24e the intake manifold is a wet manifold and it has 8 valves thats about the only difference

 

do the ka24 de swap then turbo it

 

the Z24 can make alot of power, but you'll have trouble keeping a headgasket in it if you dont build it right

a KA swap would be cheaper and semi easier to build but i dont think would respond to the mods as well as the Z24, i drove my buddys stroker Z24 510 and loved it i tried to get him to boost it but he pussed out

 

well i dont have much money i was just thinking of rebuild blueprint the block turbo it and the things for the turbo ill try to find a copper head gasket for it. i thought about the sr swap in it but the people in my town i would get the engine from sell them for $3500 and my engine im looking at around $2k

 

buy a wrecked 300ZX for like 1K and swap that in, VG30DET baby, i bought the one i had for $300 and it still ran and drove perfectly, body was just fucked beyond repair from rolling it on the freeway i was gonna do that to my 510 but decided to turbo the L-16 instead

 

dude i have one i'd sell you for cheap like 200 dollars cheap.........complete

i have an altima and it won't fit my car.

 

well i have already upgraded my z24 i put a cam, catback exhust and intake mods ... ill trade lol
