You cannot rebuild these things you need a new center section.

can i use a non ball bearing center section off a t25? it wont be ball bearing anymore but i dont mind, doing this means it has to be rebalanced? or jus put together.?

you can send them to Garrett and they can rebuilt them. Or you can buy a new center section.

As long as for the non ballbearing center section, you can use it, if the wheels are the same size.

GT series does not mean baller bearing. The majority of Garrett GTxx turbos are regular journal bearing units, I highly doubt baller bearing accounts for 1% of total GT-series sales.

Ball bearing CHRAs can not be rebuilt. You have to order another CHRA.

ok... thanks for the info. mine was ball bearing. how do i know this? spin it. not journal bearing sound or spin. how else? turn my car off, turbo keeps spinning for almost a whole minute maybe longer. how else? it was on the reciept.

I wasn't questioning whether or not you had baller bearing. I was supplying information to counterbalance the erroneous title and content of this thread.
