Default wideband help!!!

ok so ive been reading about widebands, and im getting confused on this volts think, about the wideband and ecu not having the same volts or something like that and then not being able to read anything. i just want to make sure i am getting the right stuff.

i have a chipped p28 ecu using crome right now (stock gsr map)

i have been looking into the LC-1 for the longest time now, and that will work fine with what i have now right volts wise?? im also getting the serial cable from ------------- so i can datalog.

if i am thinking in the wrong direction, please feel free to bash on me and set me straight, this ecu stuff confuses me...

thanks
Mike

Default Re: wideband help!!!

When you log in TurboEdit/Crome/Uberdata...you are essentially recording a voltage that the ECU is reading. Crome/Uberdata/TurboEdit read that voltage as well and calculate what the corresponding AFRs would be based on how your wideband outputs voltage.

With the LC-1, I recommend you get everything setup, wired in and calibrate the O2 sensor before you install it in your O2 bung. Start the car and connect to the LC-1 through its serial connection and display the AFRs on screen. Then open up Crome/Uber/TE and start logging only, see what AFRs that program is showing and go from there.
