Default need a little info before build

within a week or so i'll be building my D, pretty much all i need to know is how much HP can the stock sleeves handle before they take a ----?

a buddy of mine can get sleeves for it for a good price, he's cuttin me a deal on everything i need but i dont have as big a budget as i'd like

he's getting me pistons and rods, headstuds, etc, i want to run stock CR and boost about 18 psi daily after the break in, i'd like to shoot for 300+ HP but i know it aint gonna be that easy so i'll take what i can get for now

current setup is below

bone stock D16Z6 boosting 12psi daily, never even changed a HG on it

T3 42/48 (should i get something bigger for the next motor? last turbo was a 60/63 but too laggy for my taste so i switched)

RC550 injectors
walbro fuel pump (not sure which but i'll look later)
hondata S200B (i'll be switching to something i can tune easier myself)
etc etc, if ya need anymore info on it let me know and i'll post it

any reputable tuners with-in decent driveing distance of norfolk nebraska incase i decide not to switch my hondata out? or someone good with crome or uberdata?

so basicly, should i get the motor sleeved? i have a bare block sitting on my table i can get done if i need to and as long as it wont be too expensive

should i go with a bigger turbo, if so what do you suggest (working with a budget, something with-in a range of $300 max)

i cant remember any more questions for now but i'll post later if i do

you will need the 60 if you want 18psi, 300 is doable on stock sleeves but it better be tuned. I have never run hondada but I'm preety sure you will need a new map sensor for 18

i dont wanna wait untill 4.5K for boost though is my only problem, any turbo you know that could handle 18psi and have a decent spool time?

it'll deffinitly be tuned weither i have to do it myself or pay someone to do it

i'll be running it at 8psi on my current map though for break in

I would try and get the CR down to at least 8.5:1, I would recomend lowering it but i have no experience with high boost d series, try it out and tell us how it goes!

well i've looked around online and i can manage to get a CR of 7.8:1 if i use a diffrent head and stock CR pistons, and thats about what a talon's CR is sitting at and i had my talon boosting 21psi on stock internals with no problems so im not sure if its worth it to drop it that much, drop it a little bit, or just stay stock CR

I would never drop below 9to1 on a honda, I like 9.5 even better. The more you drop the more off boost lag you will have. You are going to need a t3-t4 to fit your needs

thats true i suppose, i thought about going 9.5 but is that going to make detenation a bit harder to keep away or will it not make a diffrence?

also what size do you suggest on the turbo? i'd like spool before 4K but not sputter and die before redline, and it needs to hold 18-20 psi with pretty decent efficency

i have a while to get the turbo, im gonna break the motor in at 8-10 psi and my current turbo will be just fine for the break in
