I have a y8 I'm going to rebuild. I was think about buying the pistons from guit guit on Ebay, there pretty cheap. He doesn't sell rods though. Who sells cranks and rods?? Really I'd want new rods. How much are OEM rods? Cranks probably cost hella, so I'm curious what you guys are doing for cranks.

get some used OEMS, plenty out there cheap

 

If you're just rebuilding due to high mileage and wear, etc. your stock crank will do fine. Honda cranks are very stout.

 

There is a company on ebay, dont remeber the name but search, they sale reman crankshafts, they turn them, clean the jounals and everything, and they give you main and rods bearsing with it so it takes the guess work out of trying to find out which bearings to get. i think the package deal was like 125.00

 

honda cranks shouldnt be turned because of their nitride coating. Once you spin a bearing, the crank is fucked for all performance applicaitons. I have a set of stock Y8 rods if you want
