every once in a while i hear a squealing noise from under the hood and boost cuts out....then it kicks right back in....is the turbo to blame.. is it the shaft making this noise or are the fins maybe hitting the compressor housing... im stumped..

well its def the turbo...that occasional noise is now constant...it wont boost. when i shut the car down you can hear the shaft grinding...and there is more play in it now than when i installed it last night. it doesnt smoke but it has lots of play now.

 

should i rebuild the turbo?? what do you guys think..is it salvagable or should i buy another one..thanks
