So yeah i was wondering about this turbo i got from a friend that he "borrowed" from some semi engine that was just sitting there for a while .I was thinking about putting this on my 350 small block and I just wanted to know if it was too big for the engine. Has forged trw pistons and eagle rods.
cold side AR .75 ,hot side AR 1.35 .

comparing to a .42/.48 garret

yes it is way too big for a 350. that turbo won't ever spool up with that motor.

It depends alot on the trim size and what housings are used.

 

The turbine A/R is what is going to kill the boost threshold.

 

That turbo will only work on Hondas.

 

Looks like a good rotary turbo to me.
