OK, So most of us inevitably get ---- from Harbor Fright. So I think we should keep a running list of their ungodly & nearly incomprehensible sales going on. Most of us know that many items are on sale atleast 50% of the time. (For anyone that doesn't know HF generally keeps 4-5 sets of flyers with items on sales on at one time, along with single items / special sales).

Good stuff, I'm waiting on a cheap fluxcore mig to get me started.

 

The welders don't really go on the flyer sale that often. Sometimes the cheap ones do. However, they all normally stay below the "retail" price. (Like everything else at harbor freight... Spends 4-6 weeks at a time under retail price.)
Your best bet would be to wait for a 5-10-15-20% off single item coupon & use that with the welder.

As many of us have the cheap 90-120amp flux core welders. I highly suggest saving an extra $30-50 and buying something that actually has more than a high/low heat range.

The consensus is that the Smiley TIG is better, but with the 20% off coupon it's hard to argue with a $159.20 TIG...
