I need tips on painting my engine bay without removing my engine. I kinda have an idea how I am gonna do it, but your opinions will probably make it a lot easier than I planned

I will be painting my car soon to a different color than what it is right now, but I dont want to remove my engine, or completely strip the interior, but I want it to look decent so when someone look at it they only see one color.
I dont want to paint it black like most people do, and I dont want to leave it green.

I plan to remove all the charge pipes, intake manifold, unbolt all the harnesses and whatever is bolted to the fire wall and strap then away from the walls tape them up so paint wont catch them, and spray away.

any other ideas?

better use a few pounds of paper and tape to cover ---- up at least

 

We did this to my freinds 550++hp EG in one night. Make sure u tape up the engine really rreeally good. Because we didnt think it would be a huge deal and slacked off. There was a good bit of overspray on the motor afterwards. anyway, heres what it looked like after i wire tucked it....

I knew there was hope, even if I have to put the paint in spay cans I will, paint shops here will put the paint in spray cans for $22 each, so I can get into tight spaces.thats what I might do for the engine bay. I have so much ---- on my fire wall though, thats gonna be hard, but I will make it happen. I think the fuse box and the brake lines are gonna be the hardest part

 

aluminum foil works well for tight spaces and lines/cords/hoses. just a small tip.
