I've been hearing so much ---- about ethonal latly. Anyone know what exactly is going on? All I know is there are going to be alot of pumps selling this now and I dont think its going to be good for boosted cars.

 

ethanol would be good for boosted cars if they were designed with a fuel delivery system that would handle it. Ethanol has a higher octane rating so in a sense, it is like cheap race gas......

 

i dont know to much except for it comes from corn and chicken feathers

either way i think its like 87 or 86 octain so no i dont think it is good for boosted cars
i dont think regular gas is going anywhere

or i am wrong i dont know but i think he was talking about the new gass that is not derived from oil

 

e-85 is like 105 octane 15% gas 85% ethanol.

 

well its going crazy around here (kansas city). I guess all pumps are going to have it now or something. Its supposed to be cleaner burning and cheaper since its domestic.

 

oh well than that is kick *** always can use higher octain

Its good stuff, if you have it available to you than you should start using it. Cheap race gas

 

alot of bit power guys around here use methanol injection systems to keep charge temps cool and run mucho timing and make buttloads loads of power.
