mini-me b7-z6 combo W/ z6 mani quick ? now with PICS for Jon
I am almost finished with my mini-me. Its a d15b7 block, with the z6 head, and intake manifold. I only have 3 problems and it will be ready to drive...
1. There is no where to connect the fast idle valve. There was a fitting coming off the intake manifold on the b7, but not the z6....can i just T it in?
2. The plug on the b7 wiring harness does not want to fit in the EACV on the z6 manifold...do i have to swap EACV's or can i just splice the z6 plug in? (i have an almost complete z6 harness...it should be there)
3. Is the spark plug wiring order the same as the b7?
Thanks for your help.

well its finally done. i found out i was just trying to put the plug on backwards. :1
for right now, the fast idle valve is just capped off, but im going to do some more research and see if it would be better to tee it into something.
got the wiring order right finally, i realized the #1 plug wire was destroyed, so i replaced that.
then upon driving it for the first time realized it was extremly slow and boggy....
the timing was off a tooth, so i had to take apart all that crap again. but 2 hours later, the timing was correct, vtec was wired up, and I had alot of fun. pictures will be up as soon as i find my camera, but its not like anyone hasnt seen a mini me before.

Finally a couple shots....today was the first day the track opened...but it was too wet out to go.
This is my 95 Civic LX with a Minime swap with the z6 head and manifold.

ghetto vtec wiring

ran it across the firewall and in through the old cruise control cable hole

Look at all that room for boost

heres the fast idle valve capped off and the hose closest to it is the one i was debating to t into or not...but its running fine so im leaving it for now.

only a few more weeks til she reads positive pressure

157000 miles

the ex tach shifting at 7500

is that an ECU?
right now im just running a eBay Mugen chip...that works alot better than the spoon chip i had before. i have a P06 converted to vtec and the uber chip kit. so im just running the crap chips til boost. breaks lose in 2nd... chirps 3rd @ 7000 rpms
ill post more once she has 8 pounds running through her.

you really don't need the FIV. You can just block it off and as long as you have a good IACV then it can control the idle at startup. Granted it won't idle as high at startup, but it'll still idle a little high to warm up. Looks good, just fix the ghetto wiring and clean up the valve cover
