I am gettin a new turbo and goin external wg. I have some TIG'd log mani and i will be Miggin an External wastegate on it.
I am probably going to get a Tial 38mm and a t3 60/63 from west coast turbos for the ls.

anyways do i get a small elbow and put it on right on top of where the t3 is
or should i shoot it out the front of the mani closer to the t3

Also where can i get the flange or if applicable elbow?




and i did get an adapter plate and painted my pipes. ------- tb06...

 

You just drill it out with a holesaw, and notch the elbow to fit flush and weld that bitch on there like that, then just make a dumptube and your set.

I think i might have an extra elbow and flange laying around..... if your in socal you can come by and pick it up

 

if albert doesnt take care of you, let me know, i have the elbows on the flanges. You can put it where he showed or right on the box section closer to the t3. You will have that much more accuracy with your wastegate. Just make sure the wg is going to clear before you weld everything up, tack weld it, move it where you want it, bolt the wg up, then weld it.
