I was wondering what would be the best solution. I have a CRX Si Shell that i dont need anymore. Can I cut and weld the piece off the CRX Si? What tools is best to use to cut through the crx metal.

 

best solution is not to do it. Your going to just ---- up a perfectly good car.

 

besdies the extra weight it will add you will NEVER EVER get the roof to look right

 

Sawzall,camera and a case of beer.Just JB weld or flux core weld it back on.GIT-R-DONE.

 

didn't someone already do this on hmt? i think i remember seeing while i was searching through all the old pages. i think it turned out pretty good, but i don't remember. if you don't trust yourself cutting into your car then don't do it. cuz your gunna ---- ---- up and hate yourself for it.

 

you need to swap the entire roof skin
search google for wes van or wes vann honda roof or something like that

 

You technicly need to swap more than the roof skin. You should swap all the top crossmembers that the sunroof bolts to as well to retain the rigidity of the shell. Otherwise your roof will cave in VERY easily if it ever gets hit somehow.
