I picked up a B18A swap for my CRX last night and it has a cable tranny. The tranny is not from the same car as the motor. How can I tell which one it is? Is the spline count different for the 90-91 LS vs. 92-93 LS? I tried searching but I may be wording it wrong. I want to buy the right clutch and flywheel.

the PP and flywhell are the same for either, they have the same surface area only the splines are diff. i dont know the exact count but the 92-93 is the same count as a hydro b-series trans

 

I'll count the splines. It says YS1 on the sticker but I imagine all the cable LS trannies do.

 

dave, that tranny is the dirty winsted edition and missing 1st, 4rd and 4th gears. enjoy
