Default damn 14b stud question

how did you guys get the stud out of your 14b's when you got them? jeff, i know you've probably had to take several of these out...do you just screw down two nuts and lock them together and use them to turn it out or what?

heat up the exhaust housing with a torch around the bolt.

i use a huge pipe wrench i have. or u can weld a nut onto the stud. or use that double nut technique.

apparently you've never done it.

put two nuts on it and tightened one against the other, and some penetrating lube. slapped a set of vice grips on the nut and hit the thing w/ a BFH and off it came...still took a while. what a pain in the ***.

heh, I've done both methods, vise grips (under the threads), right on the base of the stud. Get the ****** extremely tight, or double nut it. Or use a stud remover.. Lots of different ways. Use lots of lube too
