I did a compression test and its comming back 185-190. What could i have screwed up? It smokes a little under partial throttle and more under full throttle.

turbo? non turbo?

 

I was turbo, but i pulled the turbo already a few weeks ago. After I removed the turbo that got rid of the massive start up smoke, but I still have some smoke. I got so low on oil that I couldnt see any oil on my dip stick. I got an hole in my oil line and sprayed oil out on a 400 mile trip thats how this mess started.

this is on a stock block z6, my vitara setup is not in my car yet.

 

check oil pressure if have access to a pressure gauge.

 

I just got an oil pressure gauge. What should I expect if it reads high or low? could oil pressure cause the car to smoke?

 

20 is low...40 is good. 80 is high..

 

when you first start it, it should jump to about 70 or so, as it warms up and the idle goes down around 50.

 

and at full warm idle you may see it dip down to 15.
