i put the msd external coil and cap on my car and it road for 2 days then died on me. so i took it all off and put the internal coil and stock cap back on. tried to start it up and nothing. then i checked the plugs by plugging one into one of the spark plug wires and touching a ground with it and it didn't spark...could it be the plug, the wire or is th dizzy just fucked up.

 

have u checked the ignition coil its the little chip inside the dizzy its on the bottom of ur coil u can get it checked at auto zone to see if it works but i know it willl be that

 

No, You mean the Ignitor, not the Ignition Coil.

This would be the first thing I would look into.

 

i tried...i couldn't get it off lol. the screws were so rusted that they started to strip so i backed off of them. i might just get a new dizzy. but is there any way i can check the wires to see if they are bad?

 

also u can try with some needle nose vice grip pliers and the screw driver at the same time and it will come off i had the same problem

i have the msd box, cap & coil at it works fine
