question about sleeves now with pictures
i just picked up a complete ls block for $100. he said it was smokign so he tried re ringing it and cracked a ring. but when i tore it open i noticed that the outer part of the sleeve is chipped in a couple of places. the biggest being about 2mm down and a cm acrcoss. so my question is should i run it or no? my camera is being gay so no pics
got some pictures but i suck at resizing so you get thumbnails

Any gouging in a cylinder is gonna cause some serious compression problems aka none. Basically good block to get sleeved still worht somethin to someone who's goin that route but the typical quick rebuild its junk
it would cause compression problem if it was cracked on the coolant jacket side? i thought it would be a reliability/strength issue. but i talked to the guy and i might be able to get another block
well i talked to the guy and he has agreed to get me another block. i deffinetly think it is alittle in the iffy side since in those few places the sleeves are half their original size
