who is into guns?
i kinda want to get into pistols but im sure i shouldn't make a huge investment right off the bat. i mean, if i get one and end up not using it much, i don't want to be out a grand haha.
so where is a good place to start?
im looking at semi auto, i guess something small and cheap for a first gun.

go see any of the mexicans down the street and tell them that you want a fully auto pistol for dirt cheap, like ten bucks. when they say ---- no, you tell them your friend is waiting for you to come back, and if you don't - hes going to call the cops. then they will sell you a gun for real cheap and you can go have fun
for a first gun i'd recomend a 22, the bullets are cheap as ---- and anyone that hates on the bullet being so small hasnt been shot with one, a bullet is a bullet, and one to the head can still kill. I've been eyen those sig 357 semi auto pistols, always loved me a 357 mag.
Yeah I've got shot in the leg in a hunting accident (no it wasnt Cheny, haha) with a .22 It went straight through my thigh but it still hurt like a ----------er. Alot of people talk ---- on .22's but for the money you really cant beat them. I guess it comes down to what you're gonna be using the pistol for.

smith and wesson makes a gun much like a glock but just 300bones or o. comes in 9mm or 40mm and i think 45. Ive shot the .40 and its very nice.

I love my matched set of Winchester 30-30's.
It'll kill a deer cleanly out a bit over 200yards (Most deer are shot < 200yds). It's killed more deer than anything else.
They have *1/3* the recoil force that a .30-06 does, and about 1/2 the recoil of most 30cal / MAG rounds.
30-30 ammo is a little cheaper.
Hard to find good ammo, but I *love* my new (cough about 80 year old) .303 Lee-Enfield SMLE mkIII.
Start with a little 22 auto. A box of 50 rounds is about $1.75 at wall-mart. As much as I love my larger, older rifles. A 22 will let you plink all day long for a few dollars.
A 1 box/ 20-30 rounds of 30-30 (or about any other 30 cal, or mag rounds) is $11-13.
For that you can buy 350+ .22 rounds.
If you shoot often, or shoot alot, The best thing to do is keep a rag with gun oil on it with the gun. When you finish shooting it, run the rag down the barrel. It won't replace fully cleaning it... But it'll get 90% of the build-up out & not be a pain in the *** to do & keep you from ahving to constantly clean a weapon that see's alot of use.
