and it starts ti smell like gas really bad...so i take the msd dizzy cap off and find the pos. wire running to the blaster 2 coil loose...so i fix it and put the cap back on...then i try to start my car and it turns over but won't start...then when i turn the key off...after about 2 seconds, air shoots out of my TB and it sounds like a blow off valve...lol...so i take the plugs out and they got gas on them. so i let them dry off and then plug in directly into the spark plug wires and touch a ground while my cousin turn over the car...and no spark...what could be wrong with it?

so does that mean my external coil is no longer any good? is there anyway to check it? or do i have to buy a new one?

 

You can check the resistances of the primary and secondary windings. Go to MSD's website to find the specs on the coil you are using.

 

If it back fires out the intake it sounds like it jumped time.

 

thats what i thought...but it comes out the intake once the key is tuner all the way off...like it will wait...once i turn the key one click from on, in axilury, then turn it one more click it does it...i thought it was timing cuz i took the dizzy off but only marked it cuz someone stole my timing gun...and i know it's accurate but it's prob not perfect

 

mine would do that when i fried a coil too, its still in time.

 

I've fried so many of those MSD coils on my Toyota.....---- MSD. Those things are junk. The one and only time my Toyota ever left me stranded was because of a pile of ---- MSD coil.
