obd0 management
I'm working on my first ever turbo set up, trying to hook it all up to a 91 accord ex. I've read that they have an obd0 ecu, which is fine, but what I wanted to know is what to use to be able to apply different fuel maps. I don't want to convert it to obd1, so I'm pretty sure hondata is out. I just want to be able to have a daily driver that isn't going to fry my rings or anything. All the info would be great...
Well for OBD0 you have Turbo Edit,BRE and Zydyne. The first two are free and the third is fairly expensive at roughly $500.What ECU is in your Accord?I thought those Accords were more like a OBD1 wiring and for management you use a PO6 or similar and run a OBD1 program such as Uberdata or Crome.I dont know alot about them so maybe someone else will chime in .www.pgmfi.org That is a great site for learning about the DIY engine management and I suggest you go there and start reading and searching on the Accord as Im sure it has been covered.
Well from what I understand the Accords from those years are electrically compatable and the harness matches up with OBD1 ecu's.This means you can run a PO6 if your non vtec and they are readily available and cheap.Isnt CB7 tuners a Accord site for that vintage?I might be wrong on that though. There are some Accord guys on here so maybe double check that before going off and buying a ecu etc.
