long story short, the team who won it put it on ebay. It went for $6,200

-this is also the car that crammed 28psi through stock sleeves. and it held.

 

I doubt it will hold up too long if it went on street duty

 

its going to be a non-paying bidder. I mean look how the bidding stopped after they said they didn't have the title. And I'm pretty sure it has a salvage title

doesn't that go against the whole idea of "pinks"? Um pinks is derived from pink slip which is aka the TITLE! That is soooo retarded.

 

It takes time to transfer a title. And since the show takes the title before you even race it takes time to change hands that many times. They just put it on Ebay too fast. They should have waited to get the title and the show to air to sell it

 

They did give the VIN number.
Simple carfax will do the trick.

 

the car was stolen striped and then left at full race by ex-employe(who got it back) so I dont think they even had the title. :P

 

In either case, I'm sure I could sell the turbo kit alone to some ricer for $6k.

 

accually, its not like that. As I mentioned in the other thread, a guy who is on our local forum (who is no longer local) was on the other team (the rx7 team)

I asked the same thing to him, and he said, nope. You bring your titles. At the end of the night, you sign it over. Pinks never touches the titles. You just have to prove that there is no Lein on the title. They trailered the car home that night.
