Get a boost gauge that starts in vacum as it is handy for tuning .A/F gauge is more for looks and is not a accurate measure of how it is running.Get a water temp instead as that is more important.

I bought an autometer vac/boost, and an AEM Uego... Have yet to install the Uego yet however. Next when time and money allow will be an EGT for ***** and giggles.

I highly doubt he was talking to you.

I had a boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, and an EGT gauge in my Celica. It was nice to have the EGT, and the oil pressure gauge is nice if you spring a leak somewhere

a/f ratio guages are only accurate with a wideband. dont waste your money. listen to what the other guys said. an egt is the next best thing. oil pressure and water are also nice to have too.
