Default walbro 255 standard or hp?

apparently there are 2 types of the 255, a standard version and a high pressure version. which would be reccomended for a goal of 300whp using a stock fuel rail and fpr?

some people say the high pressure creeps with the stock regulator, some people say use the high pressure with a fmu, some people sweer that high pressure is better and will support more horse power :P

im pretty sure the standard one is referenced as the LP (low pressure one) versus the HP (high pressure). i know i've heard from a few people that the lp is preferred in a civic. but i guess i can't comment on WHY they said that. might have somethin to do with what other fuel parts they had. stock fpr maybe?

Home people also say that the 255 is more than overkill regardless of which version you choose. FYI the 190 is fine for 300~400 hp and the 255 is good for 500~750 hp. Do you understand how to calculate fuel for your goal? If so then do it and you'll see that I'm right.

If you're not running an RRFPR, the non-high-pressure one is fine and I would suggest that. I've used that pump on my last 3 turbo cars as well as my next project.
