how to take a 91 accords rotor off
last night my caliper went on me and now my rotor is ground to hell so i was wondering on how to take the rotor off because it looks like a pain and the haynes manual tells me nothing
The hubs on those are pressed in through the rotor. You need at least a 4-ton press to get them out last i checked. Least that's what ended up happening with my old 91 accord. Had to take the entire hub off and take it to the votech down the road and get some of my friends to press it out. I've been there, and i feel your pain dude.
I hate those ------- setups.
Why the ---- would they make it like that? Incase the wheel falls off the rotor stays in place?
Like anything is going to matter after the wheel falls off.
I'm sure you can rent a puller or something from a parts store. Don't buy that special part they try to sell.

Yup puller as I said. I was able to do it 2x. 4 ton press is not needed, a puller saves completely dismantelling the front end.
Here is an article on replacing wheel studs on a Civic, but removing the hub is the same method with the slide hammer:

i would highly highly reccomend replacing the wheel bearing at the same time while you have it out. The bearing is like $50 at the most. Ive seen wheel bearings go bad quite a few times after new rotors on 90-97 accord
Ok thanks for the help guys i am thinking about replacing the bearing since you guys sad they go bad thanks for the help and jay this is ronnie it went out sunday on eddy road after we played chase
