Default primer

what kinda primer do u use on your car?
do u take alll the paint off first of lightly sand some off?

you dont primer the whole car, just the spots you had to use filler or any bare metal spots. And you dont have to sand all the paint off unless its really shitty.

If you have factory paint on it your good just sand it down a little

well the car has 3 layers of paint in it.
i was sanding some of it off and went to the bare body.
so what kinda primer should i use the cheap wal-mart kind or go to the auto body store and buy there high price primer.

the car is goung to a paint shop in a month or so want to keep the cost down.

just whatever you do, dont leave it on for like months and months at a time without painting it, looks liek ----. i hate seein people drivin aorund with a FULL primer car for liek a year.

you dont need to take all the paint off, just rough up the surface to give the primer something to stick to, Ive had good luck with duplicolor, and the fan tip types of paint help save your finger
