Default HMT Vice stand

So yeah, I bought a vice about a month ago with the intentions of building a wooden stand for it. Well today I finally made it out to Home depot to pick up wood and hardware to mount it. While I'm there I start thinking to my self that wood is too expensive when I have a Mini Fridge sitting in my room that I got for free. So I grab the hard ware and head home to make this....

works friggen great with in minutes of having it mounted I was able to seperate my turbo housing. Its still funtional too boot!

I usually mount my vice to my workbench that way things are right at waist level. Of course, i can't pull a frosty cold one out of my bench

Nice idea. Seems like the fridge is gonna give out eventually though.

Never thought of making a "Stand" for a vise. Usually on a workbench that weight hundreds of pounds. Seems like a stand would be unstable.

Yeah, I would prefer a work bench, and I love my dad's. However, when you live in an apartment with very limited space you have to make do with what you can. I really only wanted it to last long enough to seperate the exhaust housing on my turbo. Its kinda cool though since I can stroll right up in my computer chair and use it. For what it is its actually quite stable too.

You should have put that in there. I assumed this was in a garage.
