Default Need help please. Video camera issues.

I can't seem to get the video from my DV camcorder to my computer. It just doesn't record. I can try to use windows movie maker but it only records the first 2 seconds then stops. Anyone have any programs that would work better. Its a JVC miniDV and I am using fire wire.

It seems like its a set up issue or something. I can't get it to play on my computer for more than about 3 seconds.

I think its actually the fire wire card I bought. I think its cutting out the connection. It was connected and then disconnected by itself. The guy at Best Buy said to bring the camera in and we can hook it up there. Ill try that.

Fixed. My buddy reminded me that I have firewire on board with my motherboard. I just had to find the header for it. Works great.
