Why is that?

I have used it on all the HGs that I have done. Hasn't steered me wrong. I also know of a few other people that use it religiously when doing metal gaskets.

I have yet to see anyone say why it would hurt anything, only that they don't use it or have never needed it.

cleaning it off really isnt a big deal either. Sometimes I use it, sometimes I dont, it usually depends on if I want to get my hands stickey or its been a head gasket that has been used multiple times.

i know of guys around here that use copper spray and re-use head gaskets....has never let em down yet. but most of them are and can't afford new head gaskets. they call liquid rebuild.
