15psi won't make a rod into a horseshoe. Mine have seen 20psi before, up from 12 daily and there are brand new looking.

its things like this that make me reconsider turbo, how in the hell did you do that? run lean? boost spike?

 

well its a very long story, i bought the talon last year from a buddy of mine for $500 when he moved on to a sti, 5 speed, frontwheel drive and leather seats with power everyting and 118k miles. befor the talon i drove a jeep grand cherokee and i found boost addicting. I went to bandemere speedway here in CO for High school drags and got my *** haded to me by a supercharged mustang 5.0 so i made a gheto *** homedepot mbc and raised the boost little by little to 15psi, there wasnt much spike, the only supporting mods were a fuel pump rewire, and homemade intake it lasted a long *** time and one day last summer i waz getting off work when i herd it tick in the valvetrain, i decided to drive it home cause it was like 2am and it made it to my neighborhood befor i heard a loud bang, dsm's are imfamous for shitty *** valvtranes, i think it just needed an adjustment but it was too late. i didnt have much time, i work full time and go to school so i bought the civic the next week cause i got tired of asking my homeboys for rides and i just pullled the talon in the garage, i didnt really ---- with it till now, school ended monday and i took the head off to find this... im going to part it and make more than i spent on it so its all good

 

Haha ok now i get it. I was looking at the first pics and then i saw the civic and i was like... Cast iron closed deck engine in a civic? WTF!
