Coolant Lines? Neccesary?
whats up everyone, im currently doing my hmt kit on my 88 CRX Si. 14b, JRC budget 6inch, 450cc, stealth mode oil lines, TE Chipped PM6, 1st gen bov. is it neccesary for me to makes some coolant lines to drive the car after its all together? will it hurt the efficiency of the turbo? thanks everyone

It's fine if you don't hook up the water lines. I'd say 90% of the people on this site with boosted rides don't use the water cooling (myself included) and don't have problems. You'll just want to let your car idle for a bit to cool down the turbo before you shut it off.

b/c all of the turbo projects on hmt have coolant lines.
There's probly a reason for this...coolant lines WILL NOT affect the power that the turbo can make but it WILL affect how long the turbo lasts. If you bought a junk yard turbo or something like that, I wouldn't bother with them, of if your car will be a dedicated race car. If you spent a decent chunk of cash on your turbo like I did ($850). I would run coolant to it to make it last longer.
